Step 2: Complete the ATF Form 4 Application
Once you’ve picked out your suppressor, it’s time for the paperwork. All suppressor purchases must go through the ATF’s Form 4 process. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
1. Get Your Fingerprints Taken-
- We’ll guide you through the fingerprinting process in-store.
- This step is required for the background check.
2. Get Your Photograph Taken-
- We’ll take your photo right here at Packrats Findlay.
- This will be submitted along with your application.
3. Create an ATF eForms Account -
- The ATF now allows you to submit your application digitally for a faster turnaround time.
- We can assist you with setting up your eForms account and submitting your Form 4.
Step 3: Submit Your Application and Pay the Tax Stamp (Or Let Us Cover It!)
Once your application is complete, the ATF requires a one-time $200 tax stamp for the transfer of your suppressor. But for February only, Packrats Findlay is covering this fee for you! Step 4: Wait for Approval
After submitting your application and fingerprints, you’ll need to wait for ATF approval before you can take your suppressor home. Current processing times vary, but with the new ATF eForms system, approvals are faster than ever—often in as little as 7-10 days. We’ll keep you updated on the status of your application, and when it’s approved, you’ll be able to pick up your suppressor hassle-free!
Step 5: Take Your Suppressor Home and Enjoy!
Once you’re approved, you’ll get a call from Packrats Findlay letting you know your suppressor is ready for pickup. Just bring your ID, and you’ll be able to take it home that day. Now, it’s time to hit the range and experience the benefits of reduced noise and improved shooting accuracy!
